Key pharmacy speakers to talk about future of industry
LEADING pharmacist and entrepreneur Bharat Shah officially opened the 4th annual Sigma Pharmaceuticals Conference in Phuket , Thailand on Monday (13).
More than 370 community pharmacists from the UK have gathered for the sell out conference, now one of the largest in the industry, and which ends on Sunday (19)
The conference was opened by the Vice Governor of Phuket Somkiet Sangkaosutthiark and British Deputy Head of Mission at the Thai Embassy Steven Chandler.
Sigma Pharmaceuticals managing director Bharat Shah said the conference aimed to help pharmacists adapt to the changing business environment with high profile speakers including Dr Keith Ridge, chief pharmaceutical officer at the Department of Health and Kevin Barron MP, chair of the All Party Pharmacy Group in Parliament. Attendees at the conference represented over 2,000 independent pharmacies, 3,000 multiple pharmacies and almost the entire generic medicines industry.
