Nina Wadia shortlisted for best actress in British Soap Awards

EASTENDERS actress Nina Wadia made the short-list for 'best actress' at the British Soap Awards
The Mumbai born actress who plays the fiery Zainad Masood in Eastenders was short-listed alongside co stars Preeya Kalidas who plays Amira Masood Ace Bhatti who plays Dr Yusef Khan.
Kalidas has been shortlisted for the sexiest female and Bhatti for the Villain of the Year.
Wadia, who is of Parsi descent and born in Mumbai, made her debut in the hit BBC comedy show Goodness Gracious Me and has become a household name since her inception to Eastenders back in 2007.
But this hasn't stopped the 42-year-old being ambitious as she sets her sights to go further in the TV and film industry.
For the past two years she has been balancing her soap commitments with her production company, Oh My! Productions which she started with husband Raiomond Mirza. They make short films and compose music.
Her first film project titled Four, a black comedy focusing on a man who hires someone to help kidnap his wife's lover in a vengeful plan, was released last October.
The awards, held in London later this month, will be presented by Phillip Schofield and be shown on ITV1 in May.
